At La Boutique d’Alexander, each small canvas is a story painted in oil, a unique creation born of an emotion captured in a model’s gaze or breath, in a single moment. These distinctive works, in an intimate format, are sold unframed to give you the freedom to let them interact with your own world.

They are sent to you with the utmost care: wrapped in waterproof plastic film, protected to ensure they arrive undamaged, and dispatched promptly by post. They cost €140, including postage within Europe. When placing your order, you can provide your postal address, or specify if you would prefer to collect it in person in Paris, Blois or Orléans.

Each painting comes with its certificate of authenticity, attesting to its originality and exclusivity.

NUDES EROTISM

THE SANGUINES

Red chalk is particularly well suited to sketches, nude studies and rural landscapes, offering an excellent ability to suggest volume and texture. The use of sanguine can be traced back to the Renaissance, both for enhancing colours and for creating drawings. It became particularly widespread in Florence and Lombardy, where Leonardo da Vinci and his circle used it constantly. Its use reached its peak in the 18th century, when new techniques expanded the possibilities for shades and chromatic variations.

For your enjoyment – and mine – I create red-ink drawings on paper in various sizes.

Some of the smaller prints come with a mat, whilst others are sold without one; it’s up to you to find a frame that will show them off to their best advantage in your home
